How does the SpeedFusion tunnel handle HIPAA — BAA and audit logs?

SpeedFusion transport is AES-256 encrypted, PHI rides on isolated VLANs behind the firewall, and West Networks signs a BAA for the managed service. InControl’s operational log is an immutable audit trail of every change. Encryption is one control, not the whole of HIPAA — we help you map it to your security program.

Mobile vehicles & fleets

Vehicle power (12/24V), antenna mounting, and EMS/FDA impact?

We use DC-powered MAX units with wide-input and ignition sensing, and roof MAX antennas rated for vibration. The router is IT equipment, not a medical device, so it doesn’t change a medical device’s FDA status — but we coordinate mounting and EMC with your vehicle upfitter.

Fleet management — remote SIM, geofencing, usage alerts?

InControl handles remote SIM/eSIM activation, geofence actions (auto-tag or apply firmware at the depot), and usage and health alerts, with per-vehicle reporting.

What happens in a dead zone or a hospital basement?

Multi-carrier plus Starlink diversity covers most gaps; where all RF is dead, hot failover holds the session and reconnects seamlessly on return. Parked at a facility, Wi-Fi-as-WAN can piggyback the building’s network.

Clinical workflows & bandwidth

Enough bandwidth for mammography tomosynthesis and PACS uploads?

Large studies are hundreds of MB to GB: we bond multiple 5G plus Starlink for aggregate uplink, schedule bulk PACS as a background class, and keep telehealth on a smoothed priority path. This is the same architecture that first put field 2D/3D mammography online.

Example: a real-time ultrasound or ECG consult from a moving vehicle?

Put the ultrasound/ECG stream on a WAN-smoothing sub-tunnel for zero-drop real time and imaging uploads on the bonding tunnel. The consult stays connected across cell handoffs while the vehicle moves.

Integrating EHR / telehealth platforms (Zoom, medical apps)?

Transport-agnostic — put the endpoint behind the router and prioritize it with SaaS-aware outbound policy (e.g., smoothing for the live video visit) so clinical apps always get the best path.
